Dr. Pritpal Rangi is the owner of Pinecrest Animal Hospital and has been a practicing veterinarian for 35 years. He graduated from veterinary school in 1984 and moved to the United States from India shortly after, completing an internship in North Carolina before working at three veterinary hospitals and then starting his own practice in Owosso in 1991. He grew up in India around cows, buffalo, and dogs, and credits his grandfather — who always loved and cared for animals in their hometown — as the inspiration for his career. He and his wife, Ravi, bought Pinecrest together in November 1991 with a priority on making clients and patients feel like family. They have three children: Puneet, an orthodontist; Kenny, also a veterinarian at Pinecrest; and Sabrina, in medical school. He shares dogs Leo (a pit bull) and Lucy with his son Dr. Kenny. Outside of work, he enjoys playing with his pets, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
